History
The company UTAL was established in 1991, primarily as a license plates manufacturer for the Polish market. Over the years the company evolved into a modern, self-sustaining company that not only produces plates, but also provides the equipment for their production. For this purpose UTAL founded its own R&D department that is responsible for the engineering of machines for the production of plates and for developing new, unique solutions that prevent counterfeiting and illegal production of license plates. Since 2001, all the machinery necessary for the manufacturing plates is produced only in UTAL, that is why the company is able to offer its customers a complex service – ranging from the project stage, over machine construction and their personalization to ready to use license plates.
2022
30 years ago, on December 18th 1991, Utal launched its activity on the basis of the founding act. From an enterprise built from scratch, Utal was transformed into a world class company in the license plate sector.
2019
Utal is growing fast: thanks to the newly completed building, Utal increased its production area by 4200 m2.
2017
In this year, the production amounted to over 10,000,000 license plates.
We export products to over 50 countries around the world.
2014
We sell our products to 43 countries around the world. We have created an automatic line for the production of personalized license plates.
2013
In this year, we sold 6,000,000 license plates.
We sell products to 22 countries around the world.
2012
UTAL establishes a joint venture in Russia.
2009
Our machinery park has been extended with an automatic line for frame printing.
2001
Establishment of the Research and Development department, which designs machines for the production of license plates and develops solutions that hinder their falsification and illegal production.
2000
Introduction of reflective license plates in Poland.

The first machine made in UTAL.

On May 12, 1992 UTAL has started production.
