Tailor-made Automated Production Lines for USA

Machines manufactured by Utal are gaining more and more popularity and recognition in the United States. Thanks to the partnership with J.R. Wald, an expert in his industry, we are becoming more and more successful on the American market. Only recently, we have delivered 3 complete automated lines for the production of blank number plates, addressed to two Correctional Industries. Each line has been individually designed by Utal’s R&D specialists in accordance with the requirements specified by the client. These technologically highly advanced machines have been entirely manufactured and programmed at Utal. The production lines are equipped with the tools for the production of various types of American car and motorcycle license plates, i.e. cutting, cutting-embossing, cutting-punching tools, adapted to different sizes of license plates.
Our knowledge and many years of experience have allowed us to design and manufacture fully automated, high-performance manufacturing lines. The line components have been refined in every detail to maximize production safety. A well-thought-out automation system and a user-friendly interface enable the operator to work efficiently and easily.
An interesting challenge in a separate project implemented for the state of New York was the need to modify an already existing, unknown to us production line. Our goal was to develop, manufacture and implement several individual components in the already existing line for blank number plates. Thanks to our experience, the task was successfully completed and the components are fully compatible with the rest of the machine.
The automated production lines for blank number plates, offered by Utal for over 14 years now, in their basic version of equipment, consist of an automatic horizontal aluminum tape decoiler, a tape straightener, a precise laminator that applies reflective foil to aluminum tape, and a highly efficient hydraulic press with an automatic tape feeder . The presses are equipped with devices suitable for the types of plates indicated by the customer, i.e. flat or plates with the rim, with or without mounting holes. The automated blank plates collector transports and stacks the finished product, optimizing the packaging process.
To ensure high flexibility with client’s requirements, we design our production lines so that they can be additionally equipped with other components required by the client. These can be laser stations for applying laser marks, e.g. serial numbers on the front or reverse of the plate, hot-stamping hologram applicators, printers for barcode printing, modern, inductive heaters supporting production in specific, different climatic conditions. Our portfolio also includes lines with double laminators, for laminating plates covered with graphic reflective foil in one production cycle. We additionally offer remote diagnostics and parameterization services.
We are proud of having the resources that allow us to develop and manufacture tailor-made machines comprehensively, from A-Z, at Utal. As a result, the project implementation processes are optimized to the maximum. Moreover, we easily adapt to the conditions in which the project is conducted and we can offer the service of remote commissioning and implementation of the production line at customer’s facility in a situation where the arrival of our specialists is impossible, e.g. due to the prevailing sanitary restrictions.
